June 2016 - Ruby Princess to Alaska - Inside Passage
The Ruby Princess is more understated and elegant in its décor than other cruise ships. We were on the cruise with our three adult children and spouses. The food and the food service was exceptional, and frankly, this is what we all keep talking about, the amazing pot de crème, king crab legs, chocolate specialty desserts, and the impeccable service of the staff, even down to the personalized concerns for dietary restrictions that were treated with the greatest care, thoroughness, and humor. There were plenty of great things to do and although I'm something of a theater snob, I thought the entertainment on board was top-notch. We enjoyed the movies under the stars when we were too lazy to go to all the other fun activities. We were impressed at each port and beginning and end with the efficiency and speed of getting on and off the boat. Hard to do! The only thing we didn't like was the busy, crowded feeling in some of the common areas.
