January 2015 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean (New Orleans Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Dream
The first 5 days of the cruise there is so much to do, plenty of shows, great ports and things to see and enjoy. The last to days it seems to get a little boring, (from a guys stand point). If you don't drink & don't gamble, the last part of the cruise is setting around waiting for the time to pass by. (Yeah that is called rest) But some of us like to be busy all the time. The last Night of the Carnival Legends, was great, but didn't start till 10 pm. You have to be up at 6 to go eat and be out of your room by 8:30 to get off the ship. Comedians are swapped out during the cruise, but usually they only do 2 shows each, family and adult. If you wanted you could see all those in 1 night. My main problem I saw was dinner each night. We went to the dinning room at 6pm, anytime dining, got right in and sat down, by the time you ate and got desert, at least 1:45 to get out of there. (every night was like this) Your shows are anything that starts at 7:30 to 8:00 is almost impossible to make. Food this trip was not as good or prepared as well as other cruises I have been on at dinner in the main dinning area. If your going for the first time, I might recommend a shorter cruise to see if you really like it. In closing, this year was the first time I ever got a balcony (Cove Balcony 2nd floor) with door and window. Great view, more room, will be hard to ever go back to a inside room.
