WOW .. simply WOW

The Anthem of the Seas is by far the best ship I've sailed on.

Embarkation: Royal Caribbean has done an amazing job with the new Online Check-in process.  Print your SeaPass at home, arrive at the port, drop off you luggage and proceed inside the terminal (all within 5 minutes).  Proceed to the check-in counter and have your reservation confirmed and then proceed to the gangplank within 10 minutes.  From arrival at the port to boarding the ship; 20 minutes max.

Ship: Spectacular   AWESOME.  The Anthem of the Seas layout is perfect. The Two70 left we with my jaw on the floor; great job RCCL.  I had nothing bad to say about the ship, layout or activities.

Food: The food was as expected; fabulous and delicious.  Rajesh our waiter in the Silk dining room *table 514-515* was the best of the best.  After our first night in the dining room, he and his assistant Franklyn would know exactly what we liked and drank and our table was ready even before we sat down.  I highly recommend asking to sit in their section.

Disembarkation: just as easy and well thought out as the boarding process.  10 minutes, from ship to baggage pick up to clearing customs.  this is given the ship has over 4000 guest to process.

All in all, this is an 10 out of 10 rating.

Best Family Cruise Experience

Took my family on a cruise in 2009' wow that was 8 years ago already.  This was by far the biggest ship I'd ever been on.

I must admit that Royal Caribbean does an amazing job at making sure every guest gets an experience of a lifetime.  Where that is with our waiter, room steward or even the bar staff.

My kids had an amazing time from the time they got on the ship to the time they got off.  Never heard a complaint or whining; blessing with kids.

Highly recommend RCCL for all your family vacations.

Nortel - Top talent cruise

This was my wife and i's first cruise and have been addicted since.

She won a Top talent award which included a cruise for 2.  Nortel had reserved the complete ship for 4 day cruise from Miami, Key West and Cozumel.

It was a very nice experience on an older / smaller ship.  The ship gave us a good glimpse as to what cruising is and fell in love.

Wife's 40th Birthday Gift

I'd always dreamed of taking a cruise on the 'Love Boat'.  So when my wife suggested we do a cruise for her 40th, I just to the idea.

Our cruise left from Fort Lauderdale which we had arrived a few days earlier and enjoyed Fort Lauderdale and taking the water taxi.

The cruise ship itself was the largest we had been on at this point and were pretty impressed with the ship and it's size.  We had decided on a Balcony suite which was spectacular.  We would sit on our balcony in the afternoon enjoying a few adult beverages without the loudness of other guests.

The only negative part of our experience was the couple from England that had a huge problem speaking to women.  This made other couple, my wife and I extremely uncomfortable and never sat at that table again.  The other couple were from South Carolina and where amazing people which we had dinner with them a few times.

Overall, the ship was excellent with top notch service from staff and crew.

I'd cruise with Princess again.

Cruise tips

Nassau, Bahamas

great beach, disappointed in the shops close to the ship (obviously impacted by the economy and other factors)

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

we were a little disappointed with this port. The weather was not good; cloudy and cool. The weather may have disappointed our experience and didn't get a chance to explorer as much as we could have. The waves at the beach were pretty rough that day.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Nice quaint little city. The scenery of the city is very nice. I'd just grab a bottle of water and just walk around the city and see the history through its streets and buildings.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

I have nothing bad to say about Sint Maarten. Best beaches, lovely town of Phillipsburg and the locals are amazing. Wife and I decided to return for a week and we stayed at the Sonesta Maho Beach resort .. simply amazing

Miami, Florida

Miami Beach is a must do, including a walk along the boardwalk and the Art Deco district

Miami, Florida

One of the key things when going on a cruise is your pre-cruise stay. One of the memorable points of Miami is spending time at Miami Beach and the Art-Deco district. Must do: walk on the Miami Beach boardwalk, have a drink at one of the Tiki bars and jumping the waves.
