January 2016 - Carnival Sensation to Caribbean - Bahamas
The food was very good you won't go hungry. The 24 hour pizza is made right as you order it so it doesn't sit there. The staff was very nice and helpful. The karaoke Lounge was a hit with the kids and then after a few hours it was just adults so the adults could have fun as well. The drinks were a little on the expensive side on the poolside anywhere from 13 to $15 A vodka cranberry was more like seven or eight dollars. We had fun with the photo shoots that they had set up on the ship but we're also pretty expensive $22 a shot to pay for the photo we opted to not get any but they touch them up so good it was like a glamour shot photo. The Bahamas has expensive food right off the port we didn't go much further past the little private beach but we did find a lot of glass so wear shoes the restaurants were pretty expensive like $18 for a salad $20 for chicken sandwich and fries we opted to get a little snack and then ate on the boat when we got back on at around 6 you can barter for shirts seashells necklaces anything you can imagine. The only downfall Was the weather it was very windy an average temperature even in the Bahamas was sixties when we returned to Port Canaveral it was 38 degrees that morning! We are from Minnesota so my boys still loved the water slide and the pool but it was not used hardly by anyone else on the ship. The only other thing I didn't care for was they allowed smoking in the casino area so anytime you were even close to that area it smelled terrible. We made it to 1 family comedy show and that was pretty good didn't make it to any adult ones we opted for the karaoke time for the kids I did ask multiple people if the timing of the cruise being that it was in January that we went and they said last week it was 87 degrees that it was just a fluke. But if you want to guarantee hot weather stick 2 more after April or May because that was a huge disappointment. But the food was delicious the staff is very nice this ship was older than not raggedy.
