July 2015 - Maasdam to Canada, New England, New York
This cruise from Montreal to Boston was our nineteenth cruise, so we had a pretty extencive experience with different cruise lines. Some of them were good and some were really bad, but this cruise vas pretty good and we enjoyed each day we spent on this ship. The food was good, even Lido restaurant on the 11th deck was really nice. We had a lot of food restrictions, especially dairy, grains and potato should be avoided. Our dining room steward Ketut Sunantara was so attentive to us, that every dinner he brought us a menu for the next day to give us a chance to chose what we want and they cooked our dishes according to our restrictions. He told us that even if we chose an entry that contains anything that we cannot use, this ingredient will not be used or will be replaced. It was so touching to feel that they really care about us and do their best to make us happy! One evening we went to Lido restaurant and asked about Almond milk. It was not among their items but the restaurant staff promised us to bring it to our room a little later and when we returned to our room after the show it was their waiting for us.The cleaning staff was very efficient and the itinerary was pretty good, each day we arrived to a new town and had almost the whole day to spend there. Quebec, Charlottetown, Halifax and Bar Harbor were the most interesting places amount our cruise stops. The ship was not very big and probably because of that fact it was not crowded, we did not have to wait for seats in restaurants or around the pool. The only thing that was disappointing was shows. Each production was pretty pure, hardly professional, although dancers and singers tried to do their best.
