Unworld provides nice destinations and good service. FOR THE MONEY, they are a disappointing option with regard to food and beverage and some amenities. While their liquor options were good, their wine options are far more limited without upcharge then we were lead to believe. They advertise themselves to be boutique, but I did not feel that way at all.
The size of the ship is nice as you have no long lines and the service was wonderful. Food was well prepared and presented. Balconies to the rooms were very disappointing but the cabin size was good. Activities were poor and excursions excessively expensive but the ports of call were just fabulous.
Regensburg, Germany - Loved this port! We would love to return and explore some more
Nuremberg, Germany - going through on a bus on the way to Prague was such a shortcut that I could not get a good impression.
Passau, Germany - Quaint and interesting port of call. Had a great local tour guide
Budapest, Hungary - Budapest is lovely and interesting. We were there two days before sailing.
SPITZ, AUSTRIA - Loved the Melk Abbey tour!
End Of Vacation - A 5+ hour bus ride is really no way to transport guests who have paid those kinds of dollars. We would have been better off to drive through Nuremberg with a box lunch and keep going so we didn't arrive in Prague around 6p. Further, instructions and information should have been handled on the bus, NOT in a meeting upon arrival after that long bus.
Main/Danube Canal Transit - Loved the locks and the experience but it was less so when we could not be upstairs to really experience it
Vienna, Austria - Our time in port was so very short but we loved it. We will return.
Star Pride - Look into adventures in the ports on your own. Their tours were extremely expensive for short times.
Isle Of Man - We wen on our own into town and visited Castle Ruchen and walked around. It was pleasant but small.
Invergordon (Inverness & Loch Ness), Scotland - We hired a local tour guide and had an extraordinary day visiting everywhere. We saw Loch Ness, visited Glenmorangie, went to the Clootie Well, visited Dunrobin Castle and saw the falconry event. It was all glorious.
Portrush, Ireland - We did not take ship excursion. We hired a private tour guide who took us for the day to some wonderful out-of-the-way places and to the Giants Causeway. It was chilly and extraordinary.
Tobermory, Isle of Mull - We went walking in town, visiting an old graveyard, had lunch in a great pub.
Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, Scotland - We took the local bus and got to visit Scara Brae, the Ring of Brodgar and saw the countryside. Then we visited St Magnus Cathedral and the Earl's Palace on our own and had a lovely lunch in a small place.
Portree, Isle of Skye - We went out on our own and walked all over the place and into the mountains. LOVED IT
Edinburgh, Scotland - We stayed an extra couple of days and explored Edinburgh on our own and stayed at an Air BNB. We again took the double decker bus and then walked and visited many places. We toured the underground on a ghost tour, visited Edinburgh Castle, rode the ferris wheel, went up into Scott Tower....
Dublin, Ireland - So much to see and do. We took the double decker bus all around the city and then visited The Book of Kells, Jamisons, Guiness, Christchurch. We tried to visit the jail but it was all booked. We did not take a Windstar excursion.
