Enchantment of the Seas

November 2015 - 4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Coco Cay > Bahamas on EOS

Got a little seasick on the first day thanks to choppy waters. Coco Cay was amazing, even better than Nassau really. BBQ on Coco Cay day was fantastic. Bahamas was nice, all of the people are friendly, but there wasn't as much shopping as I would have liked. Just the straw market and some pricey BS jewelry stores. Did snorkeling on our own in Coco Cay and that was awesome. Took a snorkeling excursion to the Rainbow Reef in the Bahamas which was fun and worth the price ($35/person), but the water was so choppy that it was hard to concentrate on/see the fish. Food on boat was pretty good. Chops Grille was excellent, worth the extra $. Dining room food and room service was delicious. Windjammer buffet was "eh" but that's to be expected of large quantity food and it was similar to Vegas style buffets. Would have liked more youthful and family type activities on the boat, most was geared to middle age and older folks, but that's generally who goes on cruises. Trivia and poolside movies were great. Ship is showing some wear and tear with rust on certain parts of the pools and boat.

kab87's Tips

Nassau, Bahamas - Straw market is okay - lots of crafts and vendors working on wood carvings and straw treasures. Didn't explore the resorts and beaches that much. Did the snorkeling excursion which was cool, but the water was pretty choppy from nearby boats and jet skis. Ran out of stuff to do by nighttime and everyone seems to close up right at 5pm on the island, even though our ship was docked until midnight.
Port Canaveral, Florida - Kennedy space center was awesome, well worth the admission price. So was seeing gators up close at Jungle Adventures Animal Park - practically had the place to ourselves. La Quinta Inn Oceanfront was an amazing value for the view, beach access, free breakfast + wifi. Great hotel.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island) - Bring your own snorkel gear and check out the little coves and bays, especially near rocks - tons of fish and hermit crabs. Water is super calm thanks to rock barricades. BBQ was delicious. One of the best meals provided by cruise.
