May 2017 - Veendam to Canada, New England, New York
The ship is older but well maintained and the cabin was spacious with plenty of storage room and a couch. Bathroom has a tub/shower. Very nice. The crew is great ; no complaints with them. The food quality is excellent. We liked the breakfast in the dining room; there were plenty of options. The Buffet was good but not enough variety. Burgers and pizza only available until 5pm on Lido deck out on deck not in the buffet area. However there are gluten free options even if you are at the buffet, there is always GF bread rolls muffins pasta and pizza at the pizza station; just ask for it, they will make the pasta separately and even toast bread in a separate toaster. Entertainment was lacking. The skinny German Juggler was very funny and the singers and dancers very good as well. The rest was mostly a little boring for our taste; and not much to do on a sea day or very rainy day which we had several of. Hardly any announcements made especially in the morning as to time you could get off the ship and deck which was very annoying.
