Norwegian Pearl

May 2015 - Norwegian Pearl to Alaska - Inside Passage

The staff were great, the ship was too small.

The ship seemed to have been designed to fit the most people in the smallest space possible. The buffet was a madhouse with passengers trying to weave thru the chairs to find an open table. We chose the main dining room whenever possible and it was nice.  The Stardust Theater could not seat all the passengers assigned to that seating time. Some sat on the stairs and were a safety hazard.

The ports of call in Alaska and Canada were great. Glacier bay was beautiful and the  National Park Ranger did a good job explaining how and why the glaciers were retreating.

jeaqual's Tips

Carnival Breeze Carnival Breeze - Cabins on deck 9 complained about the noise caused by people re-arranging the chairs on the Lido deck for events and the Dive In movies.
Cruise Glacier Bay - Go out on deck, so you can see the glaciers. The ship does turn around in a circle so you can see the whole thing , but it is better outside.
Ketchikan, Alaska - The lumberjack show divided the audience into 2 camps so we could cheer our camp.
