January Getaway

Love the beach at St Maarten .  Enjoyed relaxing at after Lawn Bar. Disappointed at the menu in Blu. Verandah stateroom comfortable and cabin steward took great care of us. Awesome Food and Culture tour.

Grandeur of the Seas

December 2014 - Grandeur of the Seas to Caribbean - Bahamas

Baltimore cruise

Grandeur of the Seas is an older ship. It was supposedly updated but has issues. Areas had to be closed due to leaking roofs. Loud dance music, nightly,  in the Centrum produced noise throughout hallways and cabins making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast times in the restaurant changed daily. The Windjammer buffet area was small so frequently cruisers could not find a table for eating. Wait staff and cabin stewards were excellent. Diamond and above cruises were offered nightly snacks and free well drinks in the Diamond Lounge, a nice benefit. Disembarkation process was difficult since, in Baltimore, many cruisers had individual transportation. Long lines wrapped around the lobby and the cruisers were sent around and through others waiting in line.

Celebrity Equinox

November 2014 - Celebrity Equinox to Caribbean - Western

MSC Divina

September 2014 - MSC Divina to Caribbean - Eastern

Cruising in Yacht Club

Spent a week cruising in MSC Divina Yacht Club. Crew, concierge, butlers and Le Muse staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in Family/Executive Suite. Cabin was huge with lots of storage; only downside was the lack of verandah.

The ship was beautiful but very crowded. There were numerous small areas but the passageways were narrow and paths led through the bars and in front of the bands. I would not have enjoyed the crowds but with the private bar/lounge, dining room and pool/deck of the Yacht Club, the cruise was very enjoyable. Well worth the additional price. I would recommend increasing the number of cruise days or adding St Thomas to the itinerary.

April 2014 - Noordam to Europe - Mediterranean

ibdamommy's Tips

Eurodam Eurodam - If you don't mind walking, book a cabin on the back of the ship.
Baltimore, Maryland - Plenty of parking. Pack warm clothes, it took 2 days, and Port of Canaveral, to get warm.
MSC Divina MSC Divina - Yacht Club well worth the additional cost.
