November 2013 - Norwegian Epic to Caribbean
This was my first cruise. We were a group of 8 people and we all had the same experience. The service was horrible, the staff were miserable, the food was even worse! Our luggage was misplaced and than found at 9pm, but did not make it to the room until midnight on the first night. Nobody apologised, nobody cared and no compensation was given! Our friends took a water beverage package, which they did not get until the evening of day two.....but staff had no problem making us pay for all 7 days and only getting water for 5 days. The service at the buffet was disgusting. We all had to send our food back several times and then just gave up entirely. A medium well steak was brought to the table rare...twice! We than decided to eat at the paid retaurants which were a lot better, especially the brazillian one. However when we ate at the japenese resto, they ran out of the desert and offered to bring us some from the buffet!!!! Why would we pay 25$/head to eat food that was available at the buffet????
All the staff appeared to be new and could careless about our complaints! Nobody offered to show us to a table at the buffet, nobody brought coffee or tea or juice to the table during breakfast. It was impossible to even find someone to help us, who actually understood the language. Most of the staff would look at us and blatantly walk away when we would ask a question or request something.
The cruise did not offer much entertainement for 30-40 year olds. The entertainment targeted mostly children (a lot of nickelodean shows) or the older crowds 55+.
Everything was an issue on this cruise. The staff offered no solutions at all. It was the longest week of my life and I was ready to come home after day 5. I need a vacation from this cruise! Absolutely horrible!
I don't think I will ever cruise again.
