Ruby Princess

January 2016 - Ruby Princess to Mexico

Very nice 7 day getaway

Even though it was raining & windy at departure time, creating a long Embarkation delay, the Ruby Princess finally left the port of LA around 9pm (5hr late).  The trip to Mexico was rough seas and windy but the ship was pretty stable.  The next 6 days were perfect and it got warmer as we went south and the wind disappeared.

What a great trip it turned out to be.  Food was good and lots of fun on and off the ship.  Wireless is still way overpriced but service was excellent.  At least the booze if fairly priced.  Exiting at the end was breeze.  The Ruby is a nice ship but the food was not up to the same standards as the Regal which we last sailed on.

garycw's Tips

Ruby Princess Ruby Princess - If you're going to the Da Vinci restaurant for breakfast or tea time you can't get there from the rear elevators. Use deck 5 or 7 to move around the ship. The seating in the Horizon & Caribe buffets was always crowded. We found coming down to the Da Vinci was much better for breakfast or lunch.
