The ship's public areas were nice, as we expected for a brand new ship. We cruise frequently and prefer to only eat dinner in the dining room a few nights per week, the Royal's buffet was a big disappointment. The buffet food was just barely OK due to; lack of shell fish seafood selections and very limited pork or red meat selections, sorry meat loaf for dinner is not a good carving selection in my opinion. The one night the buffet had shell fish they charged a surcharge, sorry but I am not paying $30 to serve myself. Our mini suite was only fair, due to the fact that they decided to make almost all the balconies so small they are not very pleasant to sit out on. We have cruised with Princess over 30 times, we will cruise with Princess again but not on the Royal.
