Would you do it.

I was contacted last week by my PVP at Carnival. She told me we could take a 7day cruise for $50.00 and would get $50.00 onboard credit. I did pay $192.00 port fees and taxes.

This is our 13th cruise with Carnival and this puts me at 81 days(Platinum). We weren't looking to go this quick, Nov 5th, but it happened to be right in my price range. We booked, didn't prepay gratuities as we will pay them onboard. The kicker is its an inside room with upper/lower beds. Could have upgraded to balcony for $1000.00, but my wife said if we pay that much we might as well wait and go in December when we wanted to go. Now I'm thinking both.  Would you use these sleeping arraignments for Free.

Oh yea its the Breeze out of Galvaston

We would upgrade, because inside and bunk beds just won't work for us, but if there was nothing else scheduled we would check air fare and probably go.  Nov. 4th would work just fine for us.Big Smile

It might be worth it ... besides ... if the mood strikes, sharing a single bed can be romantic ;)

That's what my wife said. We are on deck 11 which is nice but my PVP thinks we can get an upgrade on embarkation day. She says there are rooms left and may be no shows. Still weighing my options.

I wouldn't take the deal, even if we lived in the port city. Bunks may be romantic, but ........ If it was any other room I'd consider it, but I wouldn't be willing to see if there's a possibility of upgrading when we board the ship.

20-some years ago sure, we would’ve taken that deal.  We also subsidized our desire to travel by sitting through a lot of timeshare presentations back then (and they were always longer and more painful than advertised).  Nowadays, eh, a deal’s a deal but there are only so many vacation days and we’d rather not spend them settling for something.  Happy cruising, whatever you choose!

$ 50.00 for a week,   I'd take that..... I'd be happy to get 52 of those a year Big Smile

Not all 1A cabins are bunk beds,  some have twin bed but they can not be joined to be a king.   I had a 1A on the Glory and it was find for just a week.

I'm not sure I would do it - I don't do well in enclosed spaces. The upgrade fee looks like about the normal fare, so I would probably passSad

I'd do it! That's an incredible deal, even if it meant not sleeping next to my spouse for a week. You have the whole rest of the cruise to be romantic and near each other. :)

I'd do it.  Why not?  Even though I'm a balcony guy.

I appreciate every ones opinions. I did book it, figured its only $50.00 to cancel. My PVP told me we would get port fees and taxes back. I believe we are definitely going but still thinking about the upgrade. I have to make that decision very soon.

Thanks again
