Will there be teens on board in February?

I am a homeschooled highschooler, and I am taking my first cruise in February 2017.

I will be cruising with Carnival on their Sunshine ship. I am only cruising with my mother so it would be nice to make some friends on board. I am unsure if there will be any teens though, because it will be during the school year.

So if anyone has any experience cruising in the winter months that would be great.

Have fun!  We usually cruise during the school year and there always seem to young folk on board.  As Johngold mentioned, the best way to find someone your age for your specific sailing is on a roll call for it.

We cruised on the Breeze last February and there were several who appeared to be in your age group.  I agree with the roll call.  After you join, you can just ask if any other teens are going.  If you or your Mom do Facebook, you might try searching on there for a roll call as well.  Those are usually pretty active.

Enjoy your cruise!!  I wish I could've started cruising in high school Big Smile

Hi Jessie,

Thanks so much for posting your question here.  Yes, joining the Roll Call is a good idea.  Once you get on board, I am sure you will find other kids there, too.  Be sure to visit the teen center and let the staff know that you want to meet other teens.  Don't hesitate to introduce yourself to any other teens on board who do not go to the teen center.  They may just not be confident.  Participating in activities on board helps, too.  Enjoy your cruise whether there are any other teens on board or not.  Please let us know how the cruise goes.  I'll be looking forward to hearing about your vacation when you return.
