Why Ensenada is viewed poorly as a port

The port area is a mess. Beach had dead rats on sand..just generally dirty. However, I can't say enough about LaBufadora....beautiful scenery, loads of markets and this trip, I got to hold a panther, a leopard, and a jaquar, It's a shame you have to take an excursion to enjoy visiting Ensenada.

When I visit that port I like to do the wine tasting.   Santo Thomas has excellent wine and port.   I always take home a few bottles.  They also have good cold pressed olive oil.   Years ago the excursion went out to the valley where the winery was located,  now they just stop at the showroom in town.

It is a port that I would not recommend wandering around by your self or going very far off the main street.  I have been there over a dozen times.  some times I don't even bother to get off the ship at this port.

When we arrived it was late in the afternoon in December, and the tours would have been at night. We stayed on the ship.

We have been there enough, we just stay on the ship.

I have never visited this port.  From what you say, I don't think that I care to do so in the future.

I'm with you on that.

The only visit we had was on our first cruise and Ensenada was the last stop, We had a couple of options , one was a golf game but we did not have a lot of time in the port and we were unsure of the time at the course. The other was a wine tour and we decline to go as we wanted a spa and hair day. The wine tour was late getting back to the ship, but it was a Princess tour so they waited.

I have spoken to others going ashore there and they don't think much of it.

Never been.   Won't do a Mexican Riviera at this time.  When it becomes safe again, we will fly to L.A.  and hopefully get my cousin on board again.

I stick with the eastern carrib and the Yucatan area

I have not been but the wine tasting and holding of panthers sound fun
