I get that same excited feeling as soon as I book a cruise.

I get it every time I go on a ship for the first time.   Other ships after 2nd or 3rd cruise are like home away from home.

We’ve been on 80 cruises so far and still love the feeling of stepping aboard every time!

80 cruises!? holy Stromboli!  How does one afford that time and money?  I also love booking and the excitement of the build up but more than once or twice a year seems enough.  Don't want to be burned out.

Yep

I too get that slack-jawed look upon entering the ship on embarkation morning.

I absolutely get that even booking a cruse 400 days out. Still get all giddy and excited and cannot wait ... like a kid at Christmas.

Okay, that’s 80 cruises since 1996.  Living in Florida, there were several 3- or 4-night cruises, even a few 1- or 2-night cruises.  But there’ve also been some 14-night cruises, so it evens out.

All we do is work and travel.  We work so we can travel.  We each have full-time jobs on top of owning our own business.

We traveled 66 days in 2017, but we each worked 16 to 20 hours a day, 7 days a week, when we weren’t traveling.  We don’t have cable TV, don’t go to the movies, don’t go out to dinner.  And we don’t have kids.

Works for us! Big Smile

Ah .. no need to justify .. judgmental we are not ... envious ?? .. well .. absolutely. If you can swing it ... all the more power to you. Good for you. You have earned it so enjoy it (need a thumbs up emoji)

I almost always get that feeling no matter where I am going. My DH calls it "pinging".  He says it's a BB in a big container pinging of the walls.
