Which bathroom?

photos of bathrooms on Princess’ Island Princess show mostly standard looking (old fashioned?) facilities but also some pretty modern glass enclosed showers. We’re in a balcony stateroom on the Baja deck. There are no photos or reviews of our particular cabin. Is there a way to know if we’re getting an “old fashioned bath” or one of the newer ones?

......... I guess you have a reason for asking however, it's going to be clean and you're going to be on a cruise. And I've never been on a cruise and the bathroom wasn't clean and ready to be "visited" during the cruise.

Enjoy your cruise. It's much better than a land vacation.

We were on the Island Princess, December 2016, balcony on the Baja deck... the shower was very small. I don't recall if the rest was old or new as it was functional. Hope you find it to your liking.

I’ve cruised Princess several times and unless you’re in a mini-suite or above the shower stall will be tiny. The room for the toilet is adequate, meaning you won’t have a wall right in your face when doing your business.

I love Princess but do wish they had better restrooms for us minions who can’t afford a mini-suite or above on each cruise.

I've noticed that the bathrooms - in particular the showers - on Princess seem to be getting smaller every cruise I go on. Strangely enough, all my clothes seem to be shrinking at the same rate.

It must be the salt air!Big Smile

I agree, except we only book mini-suites anymore and every Princess vessel we have been on the bathrooms were adequate, barely. Only small bathtubs with a shower head crammed in. We prefer walk in showers, but haven't ever seen those offered on Princess except in full suites. If not, please let us know. Even on the Pacific Princess mini-suites, which we really like, the bathrooms are tiny. One thing I do like about them though, the glass shelves, to store toiletries etc on, over the sink, have doors which open and close preventing stuff from falling out in high seas.

“glassed” showers always feel larger to me. General consensus is that the showers are small and I don’t like brushing against the curtain. Thanks for replying.

I have the same problem even when I’m not cruising. Happy
