Glad to hear your home and enjoyed Yankee. Sounds like you live in a beautiful area Auntie almost enough to make one not want to cruise ... umm wait .. ignore that ... nothing can be that good to not want to cruise ...
Not only arrived there, but now home as well...did all the "touristy" things...Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Olympic Training Center, USAFA Chapel, The "Penny Arcade in Manitou Springs (which is wall to wall junque)....Sorry, the "Springs" is way too crowded, noisy, for my taste. Glad we did all this "after" the height of the tourist season, more by accident than design, and glad we opted for paid excursions where possible, and eliminated a lot of the hassle. Excellent accommodations, complete with 2 balconies and "mountain views"... all very nice, but I'd still take a balcony on a cruise ship. Got old real fast "going out to eat"..Yes, it was cheaper than my average cruise, but if that was a factor, I'd have stayed home. Thanks for asking!
Welcome home! The Springs is about what Denver was when I was growing up. I agree, crowded. We live between Denver and C. Springs, so both are easily accessible for whatever we might need. We like a land vacation now and again to remind us how much we enjoy cruising.
Already here
Yankee47, I hope you have arrived safely and are starting to settle into the area. What great adventures do you have planned (or planned for you)?

Welcome home Bubba. I see you are already making plans for a future cruise.
TGIF everyone!!
Hey I'm back once again, all my chores are almost done and I can sit and relax. Time to get the cruise planning again!
Welcome home, for however long you stay this time.

That was considered, but we wanted a BIG event. My first inclination was to sail around the British Isles on Princess or to the Northern Lights on Princess... but there are a few "hick-ups" for those adventures for us. We are still searching and maybe we'll do more than one major event.
totally understand about wanting it to be a BIG event, we ain't booked it yet lol
