Where Have All the Florists Gone?

Something that just struck me while reminiscing over cruises past - where are all the flowers? I remember early cruises (and I was a neophyte back then) my cabin always had a fresh sprig of orchid or two - or other lush tropical flowers to brighten things up. And the shops on board offered boutonnieres and corsages for formal nights - and bouquets for "special occasions." Could be that a lot of our latest cruises have been to colder climes - but I have seen many flowers lately...

They went away with the tuxedo rental shop

HAL ships still have huge floral displays in public areas. This was taken on the ms. Koningsdam in December

They can still be pre-orderd on Carnival and some of the Cherry on Top shops (on Carnival) will have a few that can be sent once you are on board.

The flowers are still onboard, nothing is going to your cabin anymore without paying for it.
