WHAT WAS THE WORST CABIN LOCATION YOU EVER HAD??

No I don't mean because of a leak or mechanical issues...that other thread got me thinking about this...did you pick it? did the TA do it? and what was it that made it a horror show? noise? smells? neighbors? anything...inquiring minds and all...ours was on an NCL ship right after the smoking ban went into effect...clods next door were chain smokers, made our balcony unusable. went on record with the HEAD of the hotel side...yes you can get at him...then complained after we got home...wound up with a $750 credit on our next one....but I'll bet things like that are over...the ship would have to sink b4 someone issued a credit that big.

Yep .. was by our choice .. trying to save a dinero or 3 so we thought we would try one .. if it worked out then we might have been able to go more often.

Understand completely...I think I related the comversation we had with a retired Federal Ct Judge, and his wife, a retired college professor of something or other. they could book the captains private staterooms if they wanted to, but they ALWAYS book insides. and for the same reason you tried it. Didnt ask them if they actually bought any add on pkgs or not. You can surely meet interesting folk on board eh?

Inside room on Allure of the seas...So dark inside, I could sleep for days.

We also had a Port side room, near the stern, on deck 8 of Empress of the Seas. The motion felt in the room was incredible. Carpets were stained, and it had a real funk smell to it.

While overall it was one of my best cruises ever, I would have to say our interior cabin on NCL Star. It was right above the nightclub and the music was so loud I could often hear the words and tell what song it was (and sing along lol!) from our cabin. Good thing we weren't the type to go to bed too early.

Aw c'mon y'all...fess up...did you guys pick these cabins or did someone else???

The interior room on Allure was Picked and Paid for by my Mother-in-Law, so I avoid complaining.

On Empress, I paid a ridiculously low amount per person, so I guess I really shouldnt complain. lmao

Pretty sure that time we booked a guarantee cabin lol. It was in the Med and we knew we'd barely have time to be in the room anyway. Also that's actually the only cruise I've ever had an interior on! Interesting never knowing what time it is because it's always dark haha

Worse cabin was one we chose. Ocean view on a Fantasy class ship. We looked at the deck plan and picked one below the shops figuring they didn't open until 9:00AM on sea days, were closed on port days and wouldn't be busy late at night. So no problem sleeping-in if we wanted and could go to bed early if we felt like it. The early to bed wasn't a problem... but every morning about 5:30 there was noise above us as they dropped boxes (or something heavy maybe bodies I don't know). Then that was often followed by something sounding like marbles pining across our ceiling. We never got that sleep-in moment.

Since we were right under the theater, late at night, we would hear everything that was going on. The theater, as were most other parts of the ship, was not very well insulated. Now, sometimes we will go to the late night activities, so we didn't mind there being late night activities, However, when you keep hearing the blaring music at midnight or 1am when you're trying to sleep, that's a bit much.

Did you pick it, or a TA?
