WHAT'S YOUR NEAREST PORT

If I lived within a 2 hour drive (max) of a cruise port I would cruise almost monthly...Do you guys live near any ports? Which ones? How often do you cruise since you are so close?

Charleston SC is 3.5 hours south of me.  Easy drive.  The issue is I don't like the class of ships and the itinerary's don't change.  Mostly the Bahamas.  So I drive 9 hours south to Port Canaveral, Fl.

Vancouver B.C. for a large port.

Prince Rupert B.C.  smaller.

Like I said before---any where I have to go I have to fly.

Saint John, NB, which many ships come to but it is not an embarkation port.  Nearest is Boston for me, but I prefer sailing out of Florida.

Galveston is the nearest at about 5 hours. NOLA is about 9.

Florida is about 3 days.

Charleston 4.5 hours away, but I do not like going to the Bahamas every time either like John Gold said.

Charleston is 9 hours away from me

Norfolk, Virginia is four hours away, and Charleston, South Carolina is about four and a half hours away. In November we will be cruising out of Charleston, the first time we've driven to a port.

I live about 35 minutes from Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) and an hour from the Port of Miami.

I would love to say that I cruise monthly or even every other month, but truth be told I cruise once a year.  If I'm lucky I get to do 2.  Thank goodness I don't have to worry about airfare otherwise I would probably have to cruise less.   Hopefully when retirement comes knocking I'll be able to have more frequent sail aways.

I'm trying to convince my husband to move to Florida, not just for cruising purposes, I just love the weather and the beach...I could definitely see myself taking cruises when I have a 4 day weekend

Florida is a great place to live.

Except during hurricane seasonWink
