What's Your Favourite Mexican Port

We love Cozumel, and have visited it twice so far. The beach we went to was amazing and the colour of the water was beyond beautiful!

On the west coast we prefer Puerto Vallarta over Cabo or Mazatlan. As soon as we stepped off the ship in PV we really liked it. The waves crashing along the Malecon were great. We loved all the statues,  local artists, and the vendors selling the touristy carvings and painted bowls.

PV was great, but Cozumel is the winner for me.

So, do you have a favourite Mexican port?

I used to like Mazatlan about 20 years ago when it was safe to walk around Sad and go into the old market place by yourself and into the Golden zine for beach resorts.   I have tied one on in Cabo a few times (Giggling Marlin).

So, far we have only visited Cozumel and Progreso.  Cozumel wins that contest hands down.

I have only visited Cozumel and Belize. Not much to Belize, and we did shopping in Cozumel... We are going again in September to Cozumel... Wouldn't mind visiting some of the other ports to. PV sounds nice!

Try the cave tubing in Belize.  It was a lot of fun, plus we got to see the countryside.  I am a chunker and was 54 when we went, and the only difficulties I had were the sharp rocks on the trail.  DH said my water shoes weren't in the back pack so I had to rent a pair (worst day of my life Crying, squishy wet preworn shoes).  They were paper thin.  Then when we got back to the locker and were changing shoes for the ride back to port, I found MY water shoes in the bottom of the back pack.  If there hadn't been so many witnesses to murder in a foreign country..........

I believe thats what my BF's parents did... We went to some "Nature park" that had a pool, a small walkway, and a bar with food... you could kayak for a price, but we just chilled by the pool... Almost didn't make it because the BF was not feeling well that morning. He toughed it out...

I have only been to Cozumel 3 times and I always liked it there.  I heard Progresso should be removed from the itineraries.

Surprisingly LaBufadora in Ensenada. Been to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo, Cozumel and while ok, not nearly as beautiful as LaBufadora.
