Baby Girl Dies after Parents Leave Her in Hot Pickup Truck 'All Day'

A one-year-old baby girl has died after her father accidentally left her inside a hot pickup truck in East Nashville.

The girl’s parents—who adopted her—forgot about their child after the father dropped her siblings off at day care, according to Metropolitan Nashville Police. She was eventually found dead in the car by her mother, later that evening.

The ordeal took place yesterday and the family’s identity has not been made public. It is not known exactly how long the girl was in the car. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital.

Another precious life shortened by idiots. Angry Angry

This just makes me so angry that I want to scream!

Four young children were found left alone in a vehicle in a downtown Vancouver parkade on Wednesday afternoon.

Global BC reporter Rumina Daya was in a parkade beneath the law courts when she heard the muffled sound of a baby crying.

She followed the sound to an SUV and saw four young children — including a baby — inside the vehicle. All the kids appeared to be under the age of seven, Daya said.

There were no adults around and the door to the SUV was unlocked.

Daya was set to call 911 when an undercover officer — who was in the area on an unrelated matter — approached and took over.

The father of the children is an RCMP officer. He told Global News that his babysitter cancelled at the last minute and it was imperative that he not miss work.

He said the kids were in the vehicle for about 30 minutes and that he checked in on them.

The children were all fine, and there is no law stating how old children need to be, in order to be left alone. This story makes me so angry!!!

I think that it is a good call that any child under the age of 115 years should not be left in a car.

The idiocy of people, for some reason, never ceases to amaze me.

I really thought a police officer would put his own children’s safety first, and he should definitely have known better. Thankfully the kids were ok.

There was a toddler killed by being left in a car here in Ontario as well this week. Sad ... very sad. The parents have been charged but it does not change the fact that a defenseless toddler died. Some people should not be parents and unfortunately the ones that should not be parents do not have the foresight to prevent themselves from being parents Sad

Unfortunately this happens far to often. It is hard to imagine forgetting you have a child in the back seat. It is really crazy to intentionally leave children in a car.
