What is your favorite cruise line?

I personally have been using NCL because of their free perks, but I am starting to see them cutting back on things and am wondering if I should try another cruise line for our next cruise. What are your favorites or least favorites and why?

Not sure we found our favorite yet - it varies with time and experience. Sailed Disney, Costa, Carnival, Norwegian, Royal, and Celebrity, but we sail Celebrity most of the time. Elite status - but someday we'll save for a more inclusive line, like Viking or Seaborne and that will become our favorite. We got into cruising in the 90's because of its "inclusive" nature, but the industry has really become very a la carte with all the add-ons. Each line has its own character and price point and you need to find what best matches your personality and style.

Well said. we have two more actually booked on NCL, plus a couple of their certificates "banked". Having said that we have three booked on CCL, because of a variety of reasons that are beginning to kind of irk us on NCL. If it wasn't for an exclusive area on BREAKAWAY/GETAWAY class NCL ships, and the convenience of getting to the port, we'd probably have switched awhile ago. And that's after 23 cruises, the overwhelming majority on NCL. Came to the conclusion that platinum status is a hard thing to ignore. and the cruise lines know it, whatever perk game they play. We fully intend to try Galveston too. Been there a couple of times years ago, and they beat NO hands down. [

I have used celebrity a few times for the same reason, I like their free perks. I have found celebrity to be a cut above in the categories of food, service and public areas, but in the categories of things to do on board, and entertainment, I found celebrity lacking. The sports deck is limited to basketball, and there are no bells and whistles at the pools. There is no miniature golf, no ping pong tables, no Rockwall etc etc. A bit boring for a Young senior citizen. With all that said, I have a cruise booked with celebrity in October 20/20, going to New England and Canada. If you like a laid-back atmosphere, more relaxing then anything else, with great food and service, give celebrity a try. Celebrity is doing something right!!

So far I have cruises on Royal, carnival, Norwegian and princess. I have to say princess is my favorite. They really treat you like royalty and they have very good shore excursion options. We went to the Baltic’s and Alaska with them and both were the best trips ever. Second I would say is Norwegian. Norwegian are the one to go to if you are looking for a good party cruise.
