Ugly ships.

WOW! It will be interesting to see. Don't know if we'll be on them as we haven't sailed a Mega ship yet.  But I try to never say never!Surprised

As beautiful and modern as they are, I have no desire to cruise on a ship as large as any of those. We saw the Oasis of the Seas being built when we were in Turku a few years ago, before we started cruising, and it was HUGE!

I think we’re most excited about Celebrity Edge, but we’d love to try them all!  So many ships, so little time! Big Smile

I will stick with the midsize ships.   not a fan of the Mega Liners.

It seems the only small ships that are going to be made now are for ultra-luxury cruise lines and that's a shame.  There are some of us that enjoy being on 70,000 to 100,000 ton ships. I don't have much interest in going on a 200,000+ ton, 6000+ person capacity ship.

My vacation $$$$$ will go elsewhere

I'm not too excited about it either ... there's a cutoff for me when the ships start trying to offer too many "venues" on board that add to crowd size and chaos.

My dream cruise ship would be a "no frills" line that offered really cheap fares and scaled back on stewards, waiters, etc.  A simple clean room that you maintain yourself - self serve stations - minimal entertainment.  Meaning, you get on a ship to sail to a port and the journey there is low key and inexpensive.

I got to a spot years ago that I was tired of paying for someone else's luxury ...if I want to be surrounded by expensive decorations (which I don't), I would rather own them myself than pay $500 a night versus $50 a night at a hotel to look at sculptures and Chihuly Chandeliers.
