What Happens now to upcoming Bahamas cruises?

In light of Hurricane Dorian’s devastation in the Bahamas, should we pretty much count on a November cruise to the Bahamas to have a change in itinerary?

I just saw the destruction on the news. The place is flattened. I would expect a change in itinerary no matter who you booked with. Call the cruise line direct. Before we retired, the Bahamas was our "go to" place for an easy getaway. I can't begin to figure the number of times we've been there. Haven't been there in years...and it doesn't look like we or anyone else will be there anytime soon. For an economy that's based in tourism, it just gets worse from here...sad....

We're updating the situation here as we get information:

It's likely that the Freeport cruise port will be out of service for some time, but there's been no official word yet.

The other cruise destinations in the Bahamas, specifically Nassau and the cruise line private islands, seem to have weathered the storm pretty well. Nassau is back open, and it's expected that most of the private islands will be accepting cruisers soon.

Excellent news. Thanks much Simon for providing the updates. That is a great service.
