What Do You Think About Robot Bartenders?

Do you like the idea of having a robot mix your drink for you instead of a real bartender?  I suppose that means you would get a perfect drink every time.  On the other hand your favorite bartender wouldn't be giving you a free drink or a stronger drink..

This is a new one for me, But, robot bartenders will not be my favourite thing. I like my beer super cold and I discuss this with my bartender of choice and give him something extra for his trouble.....Hasn't failed me yet. I can see this as an overall cost saving measure, to increase profits even by a few points.

As discussed in this forum, service levels are dropping overall. Something to look into.

I agree!  Service is slipping and I think for the most part it is money related.

Do I have to tip a robot ? Slip it a can of WD40 for a free drink ?

Good question about tipping a robot.  That's a good one.

No I don't like the idea. Robot is not going to fix all my troubles. 😎

Hey Bubba54, and a bartender is a lot cheaper than a Psychologist.

I think of the robot bartenders aboard Royal Caribbean’s new Quantum class ships (that’s the only place you can find them so far, right?) more as entertainment than actual bartenders.  We’d check it out, and probably order something f there was no line, but after seeing it make a couple of drinks I don’t think we’d hang around at that location.
I don’t think anyone sees them as replacements for actual bartenders, at least not anytime soon.

Robot bartenders are an oddity that people would want to see maybe once or twice and then the fascination will wear off.

You can't make friends with a machine, tip them and get better service or a better drink.  I'd much rather look at a pretty female bartender than a bunch of alloys and silicone chips. And if the ship loses power, how am I supposed to get a drink??

So I'll stick with humans thank you.

Yeah, my husband is with you on this one.

I wonder if the Robots have a Battery back up?Big Smile
