WHAT CRUISE LINE FOR A MARRIED COUPLE NO KIDS IS BEST FOR A CHRISTMAS CRUISE

HELLO I AM PLANNING A CRUISE FOR CHRISTMAS 2016 AND WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS OUT THERE FOR A GREAT CHRISTMAS CRUISE - I AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS ON LINES LIKE CELEBRITY, PRINCESS, NCL, HOLLAND OR ROYAL.  IF ANYONE HAS TAKEN A CHRISTMAS CRUISE AND HAS SOME ADVISE OR EXPERIENCE THEY WOULD LIKE TO SHARE I WOULD BE GRATEFUL!

I believe, and correct me if I'm mistaken here, Your TA can help on this, there is a cruiseline out there that goes to Christmas Island for the Holidays. My wife looked for that once but we could not schedule the time off. I know that during the Christmas and New Year week the cruises are more expensive. I will do a bit of research and advise.

Have you looked into a "Christmas Markets"  European River Cruise ?   I have not done one of them yet but it sounds great.  If you go mainstream I would stay away from the family cruise lines like NCL, RCI  and Carnival because of the # of kids on the ship. Celebrity or HAL will have less kids, better food, better service, more space per person  and will not be a floating amusement park.

After reading your review of prior cruises I would suggest you stay away from the mega liner floating amusement parks.  Sounds like you enjoy your relaxing time,  Hard to relax with a bunch of kids yelling from the zip line or water park.  Once you have been on a Celebrity Solstice Class ship your a bit spoiled.  If budget is not a major factor consider one of the more  boutique lines like Azmara or Regent. Your Captains Club benefit level from Celebrity should transfer over to Azmara.

Celebrity is my favorite line with the Equinox being my favorite ship to date.

You're going to find a lot of kids onboard just about any ship during Christmas week, but you can expect the best experience on a Premium cruise line like Azamara Club Cruises or Oceania Cruises. If those are a bit out of reach budget-wise, JusMe's advice directing you to Celebrity is spot-on.

If you haven't already, read our Advice article about holiday cruises: http://cruiseline.com/advice/cruising-101/beyond-the-basics/7-things-you-should-know-about-holiday-cruises
