I am by no means  a grouchy---Oh what the

hell I am a grouchy old man. Here are some of my unfavorite things.

1) Those who believe they are better that everyone else, so much so they will walk right past the lines to get in front and look down on those they pass.

2) People to speak down to the service staff.

3) Overly exhuberant displays of affection in public areas of the ship. I think that explains enough.

I'm not grouchy, old or a man, but I do agree with what you wrote johngold. I try to make sure not to sweat the small stuff on vacation, but rudeness and arrogance really bug me.

The "chicken little Sky is Falling" people on a cruise who misquote information or state emphatically information that is just plain wrong.  (E.g. A woman on the Hawaiian cruise kept telling everyone that the casino HAD to be open when we were hitting the islands of Hawaii - it was a LAW - it was a RULE...Well of course, she was wrong as we never went far enough out into International waters - it was closed all 4 days).

People who think they are in "the know" about everything on the ship like a school master telling the kids where to go and what to do ...

Shut up and let everybody do their own thing...Unless someone asks you, stop "directing" people.

Those who complain about everything!Angry

People who are always online. I mean, constantly buried on a tablet of some sort.

Just curious BAK - why does it bug you? I just shake my head in wonder at them for paying so much money and not enjoying the beauty of their surroundings or the fun of everything going on, but it doesn't "bug" me. Some people do read from their tablets and phones instead of a book, so that would explain some who are buried.

John seems to have it down to a "T" -- rudeness, whether on the part of the customer or crew, gets to me. With chair hogs, you can always find another lounger. With boisterous kids, there's always the adults only venues. Rudeness seems to be able to be anywhere.

Lets not forget the parents that just let the kids run wild be (my child would not do that)

I also get bugged with slow MDR service and still getting cold or barely warm food.

Pet peeve is all.  Maybe it goes back to we had to work so damned hard to afford a vacation. Cruises are so affordable now, it's like going to the IHOP.  It used to be more like Peter Lugers.  When you finally ate there, you savoured the meal.
