Thanks ATMARK, I never thought of that!

Cash in small denominations for tipping. We pay gratuities when we book a cruise but we carry a little cash for those that go out of their way to make sure we're having a great time. Also, I'm not one to carry a purse but for trips like this I take an across the chest purse. That way I stay hands free and it's good for holding my passport and small purchases.

Along with the other great recommendations, also bring a hat with a wide brim. And a cheap, small, travel umbrella.

Additionally, I suggest magnetic, USB-rechargeable, motion-detecting LED light strips (can be found on Amazon). We put them at foot level for finding the bathroom at night.

Besides what you must have to get on the ship I have to have my sanitizing wipes, medication, kindle and camera.

Other than the obvious:

Waterproof camera to take snorkeling

Regular camera for pictures around the ship

Cell phone in case of emergency

Photo ID (passport, etc.)

Cruise line specific paperwork (which you can most likely get off the cruise website) filled out and ready to go

Luggage tags (for embarkation and debarkation)

Extra batteries and phone chargers

Snorkel gear

Backpack to carry while in port

Water socks

Books/Kindle to read at the beach, pool, or down time

Lysol wipes - I like to wipe everything in my cabin down as soon as we get there.

Laundry baskets - the mesh, foldable kind. We keep them in the closet and just throw your dirty clothes in there instead of dragging your suitcases in and out everyday.

Binoculars - I guess it depends on your destination, but these were awesome for sitting on the balcony when we went to Alaska earlier this month.

Reusable cup - I would go up to the buffet and fill my water bottle with ice water to have with me all the time.

Magnets - Use on the walls to post the itinerary and agendas for each day

Suction cup Hooks - We put these in the shower to hang our mesh sponges and washcloths.

Magnetic Dry Erase board - We use this for messages to each other if we do different things, or for our excursion schedules. We also write notes back and forth with the room steward to learn more about them.

I have started packing some of the individual packs of butt wipes. They have them on Amazon, like the Wet Naps you get at a restaurant for your hands but bigger and for your butt. Then are individually wrapped and sealed. They fit into your wallet. When in foreign countries there is not always TP in public restrooms.

Highlighter and pen for sure!
