WEIRD...$25.oo cruise

One of the cruise facebook groups had an article saying if you can be ready to cruise within a 2 to 14 day window, volunteer to do so. We did and a Carnival rep called us to offer us a 7 day cruise out of galveston on vista for $25.00 each. wow! We jumped on that. Dont know why they are doing this, but we aint looking a gift horse in the mouth. We live 35 miles from terminal, so we can get ready in an hours notice if needed to.

My parents got a deal after their last cruise a few months ago.. 25 per person for an interior room for a 7 day on the vista. It wasn't a cruise in 2-14 days deal, but still great rates. They jumped on it and scheduled for 2022

Reason being, is there as too many rooms in the cruise and they are calling you. Happened to us but we passed down the offer, because with taxes and everything for just me was 300ish dollars, and we would have to pay for the flight, and pay for the hotel and car rental and I would have to take leave off.

These usually work best for those close to port.

These fares show up from time to time on Carnival's website, but only when logged-in with certain VIPF numbers. These are known as "invitation only" fares. Right now, I'm seeing a 6 day cruise in an oceanview cabin leaving in a couple of weeks for $26.

These fares are valid only for select VIPF numbers, and the person with that number must be registered as a guest on the booking (e.g. they can't make a booking for someone else). For example, my wife and I got our VIPF numbers the same day, and have been on the same cruises ever since. When logged in with my VIPF number, I don't see the deeply discounted fares that I see when logged in with her number.

We've gotten some fantastic deals this year using her VIPF number, and these fares have generally gone away within anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours after booking.

Good information. We have a similar stiuation.
