Weekend cruise

hi everyone!

my husband and I are going on our first "weekend" cruise (Thursday-Monday) out of LA going to Santa Barbara and Encinada on Princess. Has anyone done this cruise before? A weekend cruise before?

I think your going on Princess ?    I have done the 3 and 4 night out of L.A, lots of times on RCI and Carnival.  They are less formal and a lot of fun for a quick get away.    The wine tour in Mexico was a nice way to spend the day.

We have done several short cruises. Santa Barbara is a beautiful town to walk around in. Just kick back and relax. If you are going on Princess the international cafe is a great place for coffee and snacks. Just FYI the coffee here is not free, but if you purchase a coffee card you get all the free brewed coffee you want and 15 barista style coffees. Always enjoy a cappuccino after dinner here. The first show in the theatre is usually full and you need to get there early to get a seat. The second show is usually not so packed.

Just a warning, cruising can become addictive. Welcome to our little club!

Yes we are going on Princess. We have always sailed with RCCL for our past cruises, and we are really looking forward to checking out the Princess experience.

We had thought about getting the coffee card, and we would if it were a longer cruise. But for a four day cruise that's a lot of coffee/tea drinking that we just normally don't drink. We typically have a cup of coffee in the morning and that's it.
