From my viewpoint, any cruise is a good time!  it really depends on what you're looking for in the good time.  Carnival Cruise lines is geared toward a younger more party oriented crowd.  They have several mixers for singles and late night activities.  Princess Cruise lines is a little more upscale and an older crowd.  I understand Royal Caribbean has a lot for younger folks to do. If you want to party, go on a three day cruise on Carnival.

Welcome to the forum. Every cruise is a good time! Typically Carnival is a good line to start with because they have very reasonably prices cruises for, 3 days to 10+. The dress code is more lax with Carnival too. For the "elegant " evening in the MDR and photo ops, you can dress as fancy as you want or go dressed as you would to a summer wedding. A cruise is as fun as you want it to be - a good attitude, and not sweating the small stuff will really help too.

Please let us know what you decide, and ask any questions you have. There are a lot of experienced cruisers here who love to help each other, and have some laughs together.

Hi julhotkitten!  Since you’re in London P&O is the easy answer.  But judging by your handle and avatar, you’re much more of a Costa Cruises girl!  Go cruise.  Have fun.  Thank us later. Big SmileWink

Cromp I think your stalker is back.

My vote is for a short Carnival cruise as well.  Have fun!

No, just have to watch what I say (write ).

BAK, wise move!

3 / 4 day carnival cruise, you can't go wrong.

Have fun

I also think it comes down to cost and what you are able/willing to pay.

If you are looking for fun, take a short party cruise.  Passengers party until the wee hours of the morning.  No matter which cruise you choose, you attitude makes a big difference in how you enjoy the experience.  An experienced Travel Agent can help you find a cruise that will fit your budget and your personality.
