Wall bed question

Does anyone have any idea of how much weight one of those beds that pull down from the wall can handle? When we sail in Dec, we have an interior room that will have a trundle bed for our 8yr old son & our 14yr old daughter is to sleep on the wall bed. But she is 5'6, 160lbs, so the size of an adult. Would this accommodate an adult or are they more designed for little kids? My fear is she will crash down on her brother who will be pretty much under her. My son wouldn't sleep up there so having them switch isn't an option.

Thanks in advance!

While he did not sleep in it, my 6"4" son who weighs 190+ did get up and lay down on it for awhile ...definitely sturdy enough to hold him - they are built quite durable.... I am 5" 95 lbs and slept up there with total comfort for the entire cruise....

Thanks! That makes me feel better Happy

One of my buddies slept in it one trip and he is 6'2" and over 200, it held him for the week. (I was just glad not to be the bunk under him)

I have also seen a cabin near me where some teenagers with the door open were jumping from bunk to bunk ...Just think of the liability the ship would have if these wall beds were not absolutely idiot proof!

They are designed to hold adults up to, I believe, 275 lbs. ( 250? ). Regardless, both should be fine.

Yes, these upper bunks are made to support adults. Your daughter & son will be fine.
