Wait a MInute Mr. Postman...

In this day and age of texts and tweets, emails and blogs – letters from exotic places remain a treat. Monogramed stationary from the cruise ship or hotel, or postcards - cool postage stamps and cancellation marks from distant lands. Great for kids and adults alike – all for an hour’s worth of time and a buck or less for postage.

One year we sent a post card from every port to the child of a friend at his school. They wanted postcards from as many parts of the world as possible.

I sometimes wonder about my daughter, she still believes in snail mail. We will text and talk on the phone. However, she absolutely loves receiving letters, so whats a Pop's to do. My daughter is my pen pal. I will send her a post card from every port or weird place we visit, we write at least two letters a month. Big Smile

WE try to send postcards to our grand kids from exotic ports. Sometimes, though, we can't get the foreign stamps locally and the ships use generic stamps.
