Visitors to NYC, sorry to inform you, but......

When people are coming to NY I try to recommend a few things to do, places to see, and of course, places to eat.  Sadly, one of the venues I always recommend is no longer in business. Peanut Butter & Co. , home of the Elvis, has shuttered its doors. Sad  I found out last week when I went to get one.  The Elvis is a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich (bacon optional, but highly recommended).   Thank god my coffee shop was still open next door.

Aw that's too bad! It sounds like it was a yummy place. As a side note: I'm pretty sure Disney World has a pb & banana Elvis-themed cupcake, which is awesome. He really was known for that combo.

Sorry you lost a favorite eating establishment.Sad

That sucks!

That's too bad BAK. It sounded like a fun place to visit in NYC. Sad

You had me scared until I read your post. While I am sure the closing was devastating to you in the bugger scheme of things it is really minor. My wife and I love to cruise out of NYC so we have a ready made excuse to visit the Big Apple which we both love. I was afraid you were going to tell us about some new foolish thing the Mayor had done. OK I won't have an Elvis before our cruises in November and March but I'm sure I can find some other small morsel to tide me over till I get on the ship.

No shortage of eateries here in NYC

I can still go to Papaya Dog
