Cruise Aborted by Ship Crash into Bridge

In response to review, Mcousineau says ...

We were on Viking Freya just before you (Aug 27-Sept 3) and our trip was terminated due to a broken lock in the canal on Day 1.‚  Don't hold your breath for any compensation from Viking.‚  They offer vouchers for future travel only.‚  We left the ship‚ on Aug 30 because no direction was forthcoming from Viking Corporate.‚  Instead they decided to just bus passengers from town to town and hope for the best. We are suing‚ Viking for a proportionate share of the cruise fare.‚ ‚ Don't be intimidated by the terms and conditions.‚ ‚

Saw this on the news as well. Does the insurance you took out cover this?

So sorry this did not work out well for you. ‚ Sounds like a half-hearted attempt by Viking at damage control. Good luck with obtaining compensation.
