The Veendam Customer Service Department needs to learn how resolve problems for their customers satisfaction if they want them to return!

That's really strange. HAL usually has some of the best CS in the industry. We've been on the Veendam, and she was great, but I'm wondering if perhaps she might be needing some time in drydock for some tlc. She might be due by now. Regardless, sorry you had a miserable time on HAL.
I do have one question though. You state you were upgraded to cabin 196 (?). If that is an upgrade, what did you originally book ? I ask because, well, that may have had something to do with your plight.
Sorry to read that your cruise was a disappointment.
I have cruised on the Veendam 4 times , I had no problems , but the ship is older and needs some upgrades
