USB Ports on TVS

Most of the TV sets on my recent cruises have USB ports that we plug a USB extender into for charging phones and Ipads! Look on the side of the TV on your next cruise.

Yep!  Did that in a hotel room a few months ago, hooked to the TV to charge my phone since I didn't have a wall adapter and the hotel didn't have any USB ports except on the TV.  Thanks for the tip!

We've always packed our adapters so WW can use a regular outlet, but using the TV would be good if we forgot them.

Yes, I usually pack what I need for my electronic goodies.  Had an unscheduled stay in a hotel after working on a plane at another airport and all I had was a USB cable.

Be careful, that may not be a USB charger.  Most tv's that have a USB hub use it for software upgrades and media expansion.  If you turn the tv on or off while you are  " charging a device " you might damage files on it.

They are also used for LAN connections.

bring your own charger

Bump

I have to check thi out on our next cruise.
