USA River Cruises?

I'm 51 years of age.  I have read up on river cruises and was wondering if anyone on this site has been on one and are they worth the money?  Are they entertaining ect.  Thanks...

Did the Mississippi years ago - it was too small too crowded - However, I rented a houseboat on the Mississippi and had the time of my life.  They teach you how to drive it and great fun for a small group of people.

Can't say I have, or that I would want to right now... The river cruises I'm interested in are all over seas

I receive info from American River cruises. They are expensive, but not without its' attractions.

we have not done a river cruise, but I have been looking at the Great Lakes cruises, they are $$$, but would not mind touring around the Lakes area.

Yep, me too.  And the prices are way out of my league and the time spent.  I'm still a working man.
