Should cruise ships have rap music blasting on the lido deck or other common areas to get people on the cruise mood?

Personally, I do not like rap music anywhere! Now steel drums to get into the cruise mood....

Boom boom boom boom.

That is probably one of the things I like least about Carnival--the DJ on the Lido and the sheer volume of the music.

Rap is not music, it is noise, Steel drums works for me if it's a Caribbean cruise, not an Alaska cruise. Due to my age I'm more a classic rock kinda guy but I also like classical.

The music on deck will change with cruise lines. HAL, Cunard and Celebrity do not blast Rap.

What is everyones favorite Rap beat? Lol. I actually prefer Harps and Chellos on the lido

I'd be happy with some heavy metal

or Southern rock

or Prog rock

Carnival DJ's equate loudness as greatness.

No thanks.

They could also pipe it in to the Serenity deck for enjoyment. OK... I better stop. Happy

I like all sorts of music. Would love to hear some of the 50's classics over the ships speakers, "Somewhere beyond the sea, somewhere waiting for me..".

Rap coming over the speakers might make me want to end my cruise early. Pay the early disembarkation fine without hesitation. Just as long as I can get away from that crap.
