'Twas the night before...

'Twas the night before your cruise, and it sucks waiting for this night to be over so you finally can go to the port. Anybody else have the same issue?

I didn't get much sleep the night before my last cruise.  I think I woke up at 130am after going to bed at 10pm.  Went to the gym at 3am.  Showered and tried to take a nap after that but it was no use.  Too jazzed.

I didn't need to be at the port until 230pm (due to Princess' progressive boarding - which I think works fairly well).  Got there at 1230pm!

Ran into a friend at the pier and chatted a bit and finally checked in at 130pm.  Got on amazingly fast IMO.

San Francisco Pier 27 pier is really good I think.  So convenient for me too.  Disembarkation - I was out of my cabin and back in my house in about 70 minutes.

Anyhow, sleep the night before a cruise - I don't do so well with that!  LOL.

If we have to leave early in the morning, I usually don't sleep the night before.

For my upcoming trip I will just not go to sleep the night before,  I have an 8 AM flight so maybe I will be able to nap in the plane.

I usually try to be at the port city on the night before the cruise so I'm in a hotel close by .. last cruise, I flew all night and arrived at 6 am ...that was stressful!

Yes, I get excited just before my cruise.  I usually take a Benedryl and sleep like a baby.

I try, but my mind is often racing with excitement.

I am worse the night before we fly to the port, which is the day before the cruise. I keep waking up to look at the time to see how much longer I have to stay in bed  before we can get on our way. Once we are in the port of embarkation, I calm down, somewhat and enjoy the beach and feel we have actually started our "vacation".  The night before we sail I sleep better, but still wake up often because I am anxious to get onto the ship.  We walk the beach early in the morning then head to the port.  First night on board....I sleep like a baby!Big Smile.

We generally cruise with friends and where we are coming from Canada we always come down the night before.  Generally we have a few wobbly pops at the pool prior to retiring for the night and I sleep like a log!  Otherwise my OCD would have me bouncing off the walls

Sorry?  What is a "wobbly pop"?

Sorry Canadian Term....
