Travel Insurance

Do you purchase travel insurance for your cruise and if so, do you purchase directly from the cruise lines or privately?

I don't always purchase the insurance but when I do I will purchase privately.

I get the insurance from my bank as it is also tied to the credit card I use when travelling. Have been doing that for a while.

The cruise I booked, through a TA, comes with the travel insurance... Lets hope I don't have to use it.

I get travel insurance from who I buy the cruise from.   My next cruise I got the insurance through Carnival and will also get it from who I book the air and hotel from.

I have had to use travel Insurance a few times and it has been worth it.

I've never gotten travel insurance...I've never need it (knock on wood). I will be getting it for my upcoming cruise since my toddler will be with us.

My husband and I have never purchased the travel insurance, but we are cruising for the first time with our daughter next October and we purchased it for that cruise. Here's to hoping we don't need it!

I purchase it at the same time as the cruise -- either from the line or TA.

Never had to use it, but then again I've never had to use my life insurance either (knock on wood).

I only purchased cruise insurance once when i had multiple flights to Europe that had to connect in a short periods of time.  I couldn't arrive a day early so I took an insurance package offered by my TA.

We always buy it since we are travelling from western Canada and delays or flight cancellations can happen. We also buy the extra health insurance. Our BCAA - similar to AAA has had the coverage and good rates for us.
