Transportation to Port

We are taking a Mediterranean cruise next year.  We are meeting up with our friends from Scotland in Rome for a few days before we start our cruise and we're trying to figure out the best way to get from our hotel to the pier.  There will be 5 of us traveling, 3 from Scotland and 2 from US.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can get you to the NY pier, but that's my limit.   Sorry

I wish that I could help you but I have never stayed in a hotel in Rome and gone to the port from there.  I can tell you that it will be expensive.  The port is far from from the city.  Check with the cruise line for transfers and check with the hotel.  You will probably need a van because of all the luggage.  Try Google to find out what the average van hire would cost from your hotel to terminal.  Good luck!  I was able to do this from our hotel in Boston to the terminal there.    Sometimes it may be cheaper to hire two cabs rather than getting one van.  Check both ways.

Has anyone tried the train from the port to Rome terminal? Train from port to Rome airport? Any problem with checked bag size?

Sorry but we've never been there. You may need to check with a travel agent to get your questions answered. Hope you have a great time.

I had used www.romeairportshuttlelimoservice.com for my transportation from LE MERIDIEN HTL To Civitavecchia Port , and we had a fanstastic service
