Towels are not usually required on most cruises. Your cabin will have plenty for showers and there are also towels for the pool. When you go ashore on most lines you can get a towel to take with you so long as you bring it back.

Not only are towels available, but there will be blankets for watching the movies "under the stars" on Princess.  Enjoy your adventure!

Thank you both, sure I will have some more silly questions before we go Happy

Very excited but also a bit nervous.....this forum is great for getting tips which is really helpful.

We've travelled long haul several times but never cruised before. Mum wanted a cruise and suddenly we had booked a 20 day one...!!

Wellllll that's what I call jumping in the deep end..20 days eh?? .no you don't pack towels...but since its your first cruise, heres what you do...1. go to closet...2. pack EVERYTHING IN IT....3. go to dresser...4. pack EVERYTHING  in it...5. run out of room 6.go to fav overpriced luggage store, buy more.   then, schlepp the stuff all over till they take it from you at the pier..  7. worry about getting it delivered to your cabin. 8. spend a few hours in your cabin trying to stuff it all in someplace 9.  fine with me, I'll already be settled in someplace ummm….relaxing....seriously tho….by the time you finish the cruise, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner (or pack waaaay less)....ask away...seems like you got the right attitude....(you better) heheheh

If you don't know the answer to something, then it isn't a silly questionHappy

Ask away!

Also, although I do tend to overpack, I don't quite go to the degree of YankeeBig Smile

Pack enough to last the trip (plan to wear outfits 2+ times, also there are laundromats on board Princess if you run short of clothing).

Did you read my post???  doesn't seem so...we take so little it becomes a joke who can pack less...rule one is alive and well...if you didn't wear it or use it, you didn't need it....and free laundry has made it VERY interesting...but yes...ask away!!!!

yes by all means...and finish the last few lines.  The thrust of the whole thing is that many folks, especially newbies, tend to pack waaay too much...even experienced cruisers seem to overdo....

I also tend to overpack (even after 36 cruises). I almost got it right this time, only two tops not worn. Since I purchased a new top I can say I only packed one too many if I hadn't had a new one. Don't fret a bit of over packing... if you can lug it around without help, you'll be fine. Ask questions as you will. Nothing I enjoy more than sharing my addiction to cruising.  However, there are some easy ways to learn about cruising like the "ADVICE" tab at the top of the page.  Lots of you-tube postings and check out some of the reviews on this form.

Ha ha....Thanks for the advice...packing has been a bit of a concern...and Yankee are you a mind reader lol....New suitcase was being consideredBig Smile
