To all of you honeymoon cruisers, first timers too, some advice

First of all, let me congratulate you on your weddings.

Next, some advice.   Leave your lovely new wedding bands, engagement rings, etc, locked up in the cabin safes when you get off the ship.  I know, I know, you're happy and never want to take them off, however, the ocean loves jewelry.  By the time you notice the ring has slipped from your finger, it will be sucked into the sand below.  I've seen it happen.  The guy was devastated.   Don't let it happen to you.

This advise goes for everyone. Ship safes are not as secure as you think.  My brother-in-law once had to leave his camera in the safe while on a full day ship excursion because it malfunctioned and no one was able to come up immediately to open it.  Don't wait until the last minute to retrieve your passport, camera or money before heading out in port.

If you must wear wedding bling, get fashion (costume) jewelry as a substitute while you're off the ship.
