The worst of times ? 🤔

What’s the worst experience that you’ve had aboard or on a cruise vacation?

All I’ve ever had was a rocky ship / rough waves temporarily. ( lucky me? )

Someone cut in front of me in a line up but that is expected at times.

LOL .. that is the norm is it not I agree though. That is also probably the worst thing that has happened to me. My wife on the other hand broke a tooth on a very hard piece of something that I cannot recall at our second dinner on our last cruise.

Finding a creepy crawly in the salad at dinner.

All was made right very quickly, though.

I can't really think of any truly horrible times, but I remember on my first cruise being absolutely shocked because some people brought a speaker into the MDR and were playing their own music loudly over the background music at dinner! What really shocked me was that the servers didn't do anything about it.

Since it was my first cruise, I was like oh boy what have I gotten myself into? Is this how all cruises are? Three more cruises after that one and thankfully I haven't seen anyone playing music in inappropriate places onboard since.

Ding a ling smoking next door after the line went no smoking...we wound up with a $750 OBC...and they were fined...or so we were told...either way, at the risk of sounding a tad cynical, it turned out ok.  So if you insist on smoking next door, by all means.

Us too.. an it usually passes on the 2nd day once we are out to sea.

My problem is recurring--they make me get off the ship on the last day Crying

I can beat that...I read about people who LIVE on board...they figure its easier, even ccheaper...dunno what they did b4 (if anything)….but I tried to figure it all up...even allowing for changing ships once in awhile...I could afford it for a little while...like about 6 months...then, I'd have to apply for a job onboard...something I could handle...like Ships Laundry....this way, I'd never have to leave....makes perfect sense eh?  DRY HERE!!!

My kids are quite fond of the idea of a cruise ship for my nursing home :)  I would be happy, and for them, out of sight, out of mind Big Smile
