The cruise to nowhere

I have a chance to take a cruise to nowhere out of Galveston next year.  Have any of you done it? Is it worth it.  Let me know what you think.

How many days, We want to do this one day, but we are still working.

Look at it this way. Spend a few days doing nothing at home, or spend a few days on a cruise, doing nothing  or dancing, watching shows, taking classes, having a spa day..... need I say more?

I have taken a cruise to nowhere on the QE2 from NY with a group of my friends & we all had a ball.  Since there were no ports of call we had plenty of time to socialize around the pool.  I would do it again.  It was a very relaxing cruise.  I say do it!

This will be a 4 day cruise @Johngold. Leave on a Friday  return on Sunday.

Sounds great.Enjoy yourself.

I did a 2 day on the Monarch of the Seas from San Pedro , it was fun

I have not done the cruise to nowhere,   but I have done transatlantic sailings with 6 or 7 days in a row at sea.   I LOVED it,  it is my favorite time on the ship,  no reason to get up early,  Just relax,  watch the ocean go by,  lay out by the pool,  read a book,  attend a lecture and enjoy the ship.  For me cruising can really be about being on a ship at sea.   Ports are nice,  but they are not cruising,  they are sight seeing.  I have taken teh 3 night cruise to Baja and not gotten off the ship.

If you enjoy sea days go for it,  it should be relaxing and a good time.

P.S.   I miss the Monarch even if the cabins were tiny......good memories
