My Cruise is coming up in 26 days and I am still testing positive for covid that I had in mid Dec. My Dr said I can test positive for up to 90 days but am not contagious and have no remaining symptoms. Has anyone else had to deal with this? Can I use a Dr. note to bypass the testing?

Starting today, the govt will send [4] free home tests to any household that requests it. While they are not the kind of test that would be honored by the cruise lines (those requires independent verification), they still may help out for anyone who wants to stay abreast of their status prior to taking an "official" test that the lines require.
Here's the link
Thanks for that...yeh they said today but it started YESTERDAY, one delivery of 4 tests per address...discovered it by accident watching BLOOMBERG...they havent figured out what to do with multigenerational families at the same address, or for folks without internet...but hey they don't matter anyway right? Now its up to the USPO to deliver promptly, or "ship" within 7-12 days...riiiiiight...Im not betting on it but I'll let y'all know when (if) we get them.....BTW...the link will take you to an order form run by....the USPO...(kaff kaff).
On cruise news or other YouTube show, a cruise line, cant remember you can test positive after recovery. You Probably need a DR note.

What was the outcome, this was posted 27 days ago. Hoping you were able to cruise!
Don't you just luvit when folks ask for advice and then disappear back into cyber? Especially when something interesting is being kicked around? In r/l that might be called ignorant, or rude...in cyber, its normal.....
What did CCL say after contacting them?
No, CCL has updated its protocols for those who have had COVID within 3 months of sailing.. those folks do not need to test, but can submit a doctor's note, and a screening by the medical staff. Still have to be vaccinated, but as long as you are in good health and have a doctor's note, you can sail.
I just read about it last night.. Not sure when the change was made.
